Hilton Barnett has 19 years experience working in and with organisations across 7 countries. Much of this work has been in mining and related industry, but he has also worked in other sectors, including banking, government departments, educational and child welfare institutions and a range of small organisations, including non-profit work. Rod has experience in management, education, training and organizational change in Australasia, South Africa, Ghana, Indonesia, U.S.A. and Brazil. In seeking to bring about changes in organizations in various parts of South African society during a crucial period, he gained experiences that have been widely applicable for leaders seeking to make significant changes to behaviour and culture in organisations today. He has worked closely with leaders as they create the right environment to increase levels of employee engagement, productivity, customer service, and in their journey toward an interdependent safety culture. Garth has extensive senior management experience in diverse and complex cross-cultural environments. He is an experienced facilitator and executive coach, and has consulted widely on organisational design and development, capability building, strategy and leadership. Prior to joining Advanced Dynamics, Garth spent nearly 20 years with Nestlé in a number of countries in Asia and Europe, initially in marketing roles, then for many years in senior management leadership positions at both national and international levels. Garth completed a PhD at the Australian National University in 2007, developing an innovative approach to understanding the dynamics of cultural interaction within organisations. |

Based in Sydney Australia, Rob has been consulting since 2002 in a number of industries including steel making, coal mining, coal logistics, aluminium smelting, law, IT, retirement villages and the not-for- profit sector. His clients have principally been located in Australia and the Middle East (Oman). Prior to establishing his consultancy he accumulated over 37 years corporate experience in senior roles in the Banking and Finance sector across three Australian States. |

Peter is co-founder and Managing Director of Advanced Dynamics. Prior to his time at Advanced Dynamics, Peter spent 20 years in the mining and smelting industries in a wide range of roles. His operations experience as a copper refinery manager and wider experience in diverse positions such as IT, business analysis and technical leadership roles has provided the practical backdrop to his interest in leadership and the organisational arrangements that are required for sustainable performance. This background has led to his major area of interest: applying a systemic approach to building the capability of organisations to achieve their long-term goals. His work with organisations in the public, private and “third” sectors in Australia and New Zealand has enabled him to work across sectors providing both breadth and depth of experience. Building on his previous strategic and operational experience, the last 12 years in Advanced Dynamics has focussed more on the strategic imperatives for the organisations with whom he works. |

Les spent twenty years in line production management and technical operations support roles within the Steel (BHP / John Lysaght Australia) and Aluminium (Tomago Aluminium) industries. Experience was gained in leading large unionised workforces and their supervisory leaders while continually improving the technical and commercial performance of the production processes. This was followed by ten years in management development and internal improvement consulting within the CRA/Rio Tinto Group (mineral resources industry). This consisted of five years developing and delivering management development programs at the corporate level followed by five years within an operating Business Unit (Pacific Coal – now Rio Tinto Coal Australia) focusing on Human Resource systems development and major service contract negotiation. |

Christine is currently consulting to chief executives and their senior teams in New Zealand, Northern Territory, Victoria and Queensland in a range of public sector organisations. She also works with senior teams in the mining industry. She has provided direct advice and support to CEOs in implementing corporate change strategies in several public service agencies. She designs and delivers executive leadership interventions which incorporate the actual work of the leaders. She is an experienced facilitator, coach and presenter, known for her energy, humour and directness. Christine is experienced with large group processes (groups of 50+). Prior to moving to consulting, Christine was the General Manager of the Programmes Group in the Australian Public Service Commission from 2004 to 2006. This group led and provided the leadership development for the senior executive service and executive levels of the Australian Public Service. This comprised a direct client group of over 30,000 executive leaders Australia wide. The team also provided a comprehensive range of public programs for staff at all levels. She has led key elements of international leadership and corporate change work in the Pacific, where, in 2006, she designed the first Pacific nation-wide leadership program for senior public servants. She led sector wide leadership programs at federal, state and agency levels. |

Michelle has been involved in education for over thirty years, working in a diverse range of schools in Australia, England, Papua New Guinea, Turkey and Thailand. She has always been interested in experiential learning, believing that people learn as much, if not more, through opportunities for growth and development outside the classroom. Michelle has had particular interest and involvement in leadership development, cross-cultural education, aboriginal education, outdoor education, gifted education throughout her career. She is motivated in her consultancy work by what makes people feel inspired to use their full potential at work, happily and willingly giving of their best every day and what obstructs them from this level of endeavour. |

Geoff has held senior executive roles in the APS, the resources sector and banking and finance. The focus of these roles has been primarily on workplace and cultural change and the policies and systems to implement and sustain major improvements in performance and behaviour at the national, enterprise and workplace level. In the APS the focus was on national policies to support industrial relations and workplace reform and in the private sector as a thought leader and advisor on the development of enterprise bargaining, employee engagement and labour market reform. A particular focus within the companies where Geoff has been employed has been on the development of organisational and leadership capabilities to understand and lead cultural change at the workplace and understand and apply the building blocks of employee engagement. He has continued to provide this support to a range of private, public and not for profit organisations in his consulting practice which is informed by his ongoing research work as Visiting Industry Scholar at the Workplace Research Centre, Sydney University. |

Brian Midgley is an electrical engineer and before emigrating to Australia in 1969 he worked for a number of years on the construction, operation and maintenance of coal fired and nuclear power stations in the UK. From 1969 onwards he held various supervisory and management roles with Rio Tinto Aluminium at the Bell Bay aluminium smelter in Tasmania and at the Tiwai Point aluminium smelter in New Zealand culminating as General Manager of Tiwai Point for four years. He led an organisational development study of the former Martin Marietta aluminium rolling mill and recycling facility in Kentucky, U.S.A., soon after the company was purchased by Rio Tinto, which resulted in a complete restructuring of the company and a relocation of their headquarters. |

Clare has extensive experience working in the NT public sector in the areas of executive leadership spanning 14 years with a proven record in leading governance and financial reform across the sector. These reforms included the development and implementation of new financial management legislation, commercialisation policies and the transition to accrual based accounting and budgeting at the whole of government level. In her more recent role as a member of the Department of Natural Resources, Environment and the Arts executive leadership group for 3 years, including a three month stint as acting Chief Executive, she established significant system improvement in what was a new Agency, including leading a significant cultural shift to a greater focus on governance and accountability. In her capacity as a public accountant Clare has worked provide financial management advice and analysis and business improvement strategies to small business as well as audit and review services. |

Carolyn has recently returned to Australia after working in Geneva for five years, consulting to organisations of the United Nations, other international governmental organisations, and international NGOs. The geographic, cultural and political complexities of these organisations have provided a challenging environment in which to apply her skills in organisational strategy, organisational development and organisational change. A few examples of projects with which she was involved include an evaluation of the governance processes of the Worldwide Fund for Nature (WWF), facilitation of strategy development for a consortium of NGOs in the global health sector, a review of UNICEF’s approach to the management of its 8,000 staff, and a staff survey and subsequent OD process for UNRWA, the UN agency providing health, education and social services to Palestine refugees in the Middle East. Prior to moving to Switzerland, Carolyn consulted in Australia for over ten years to a diverse client base of public and private sector organisations in Queensland, New South Wales and Western Australia. |

Ross is an experienced organisational strategist and governance expert. He has advised the highest levels of government on public policy and public management issues, provided mentoring advice to CEOs in the public sector and has substantial board-level experience in a range of large and diverse organisations. Prior to joining Advanced Dynamics, Ross spent a near 30 year career in the New Zealand public service, culminating in his appointment in 1993 as Deputy State Services Commissioner. Here, Ross was involved in the resolution of significant management issues, leadership of machinery of government reviews and organisational change, oversight of public service information management and technology developments, and the development of senior managers. His previous public sector experiences include time in Ministerial offices, coordinating Budgets for the Minister of Finance, diplomatic experience overseas (in Washington and London), senior management roles in government departments and substantive involvement in high level policy coordination at the centre of the New Zealand government in Wellington. |
