Clare has extensive experience working in the NT public sector in the areas of executive leadership spanning 14 years with a proven record in leading governance and financial reform across the sector.  These reforms included the development and implementation of new financial management legislation, commercialisation policies and the transition to accrual based accounting and budgeting at the whole of government level.  In her more recent role as a member of the Department of Natural Resources, Environment and the Arts executive leadership group for 3 years, including a three month stint as acting Chief Executive, she established significant system improvement in what was a new Agency, including leading a significant cultural shift to a greater focus on governance and accountability.

In her capacity as a public accountant Clare has worked provide financial management advice and analysis and business improvement strategies to small business as well as audit and review services.
