garth

Garth has extensive senior management experience in diverse and complex cross-cultural environments.  He is an experienced facilitator and executive coach, and has consulted widely on organisational design and development, capability building, strategy and leadership.

Prior to joining Advanced Dynamics, Garth spent nearly 20 years with Nestlé in a number of countries in Asia and Europe, initially in marketing roles, then for many years in senior management leadership positions at both national and international levels. Garth completed a PhD at the Australian National University in 2007, developing an innovative approach to understanding the dynamics of cultural interaction within organisations.

 

He also has extensive management education, starting with an MBA (with distinction) at INSEAD in France, and later senior management courses at IMD in Switzerland. This experience has allowed Garth to develop significant capability in high-level facilitation processes in cross-cultural environments. Garth has direct experience of both the planning and implementation of acquisitions and high level skills in corporate and marketing communications. He lectures in organisational behaviour, international business, corporate strategy, marketing strategy, advertising and maintains an active research programme in public sector management

Recent projects include facilitating the strategy process for an Australian port corporation; building the capability of the leadership team of a government Department as they embarked on a significant organisation and change process; co-designing and facilitating a series of action learning workshops to promote Indigenous Employment in the NT Department of Local Government and Housing; and facilitating a capability enhancement project in an Aboriginal Interpreter Service in the Northern Territory.
