Advanced Dynamics held a Systems Design workshop on 11 and 12 October in Toronto hosted by Dr Ian Macdonald (co-author of the Systems Leadership book and key originator of Systems Leadership models). The workshop provided participants with practical guidance about systems design and implementation to allow those attending to make improvements to systems within their own organisations.
Advanced Dynamics recently participated in the first research forum of CIEAM2, the CRC for Integrated Engineering Asset Management. The Sustainability and Organisational Performance Program in which Advanced Dynamics is involved as an industry partner is progressing well, and in particular the development of a survey to assess the culture of organisations with a significant focus on Engineering Asset Management.
Advanced Dynamics recently played host to a group of 10 senior managers from local governments in the UK as a final part of their Leadership Development Program. An energising presentation and discussion led by the General Managers of Gosford and Wyong councils was followed by a case study of a significant change progam being led by Advanced Dynamics in the mining sector.
In December, Advanced Dynamics joined forces with experts in law, accounting and finance, communications, and commercialisation, to run a one day workshop in Brisbane hoted by the Eidos Institute for aspiring Cooperative Research Centres or other collaborative research practices to discuss the basics of getting a collaborative research organisation up and running. This is part of our continuing engagement with the cooperative reserach sector, where we are already an SME Partner of the Cooperative Research Centre for Integrated Engineering Asset Management (CIEAM) and a participant in the Cooperative Research Centre for Remote Economic Participation (CRC REP).
Advanced Dynamics extended its engagement with the CRC for Integrated Engineering Asset Management (CIEAM) by participating in the World Congress on Engineering Asset Management 2010, held in Brisbane from 25-27 October. In addition to exhibiting, our associate Dr. Garth Britton presented a summary of his recent research work on external risk in a public infrastructure project.
